they're just endler-guppy mixes, or at least the ones at Petco are.... nothing real fancy shmancy. I'd say stick with the pygmy cats.

You can just have a shrimp tank until you find something you really like in the future that won't eat the shrimps. I think the gourami will probably hunt the shrimps.

i really like licorice gouramis but i doubt i could ever find them and im not paying 60 dollars to get one at live aquaria
