I have been thinking about nano cubes and researching for the last year and I've decided to get one within the next month. I will probably get either the jbj 24 gallon deluxe or the 24 gallon aquapod with CF. Can anyone who has either of these please give me the pros and cons? Does the jbj model not come with a surface skimmer? Any other models that are in the same price range anyone would reccommend?

I'm using the Oceanic BioCube 8 and I think it's awesome as far as all-in-one tanks go. However, I don't think you can choose HQI lighting for the Cube as an option, like you can with the JBJ or Current USA models. Are you looking to keep corals that require HQI lighting? If not, check out the BioCube 29.:)

If you're not interested in the Oceanic, I can tell you that although I've never used Current or JBJ all-in-one tanks, I have used Current lighting (24" 65W Satellite strip, and 36" 192W Orbit strip) in several setups and have always been more than satisfied.

Good luck, whatever decision you reach!!!!!:)

I've got a 24G 'Pod, but I'm using it for freshwater. I'm happy with it, but.... My LEDs stopped working over the past month. I've been holding off investigating because I may be replacing the stock canopy anyway. The canopy should have come with two fans as well, it only comes with one, but it's easy to add a second. The light cover is held in place by screws that go into plastic; nothing "wrong with that, but I dont' like the idea since you need to change bulbs regularly. The resivior (sp I know) broke from the silicone seal; probably my fault, I tend to stick the python back there when filling. It also tends to be hot. With the canopy closed, in an 80* room, the tank goes up to 86*. That may change when left open in one of the positions.

But it looks great!

Thanks for the replys. No, I'm not planning on housing anything that needs HQI.

bleh you wont find a good skimmer in any nano stock.. fyi. so dont make it your selling point. im partial to my jbj personally.
