Ew. I just opened a new bottle of Seachem's Nitrogen that I bought a couple months back and never had to use before. When I opened it, the dispenser popped out and instead of being nice and clean like they usually are, this one had really grody slime all over it. Safe to use, still? Gotta get my nitrates up in one of the planted 10gs.....

Ha, you can always take it back to the store if it isn't.

Forgive me, but is this Flourish or some gas? I didn't know Seachem was into any gas in that case.

No, I can't take it back to the store because i ordered it online.

No, its not gas. It's seachems flourish liquid nitrogen. It'd be hard to dispense gas with a dropper:D

Ok cool. Thanks len:) I was just afraid it was some nasty bacteria/mold or something because my iron, potassium and trace didn't have anything like that back when I opened those:)

Thanks! How's the glosso doing, btw?:)

Haha remember I said I thought it was Flourish!!

The reason I thought it was a gas was because the 'dropper' looked almost like an airline, (of sorts) and the Flourish I have used (Excel) never had that.

Do you get it from Big Als? My store is trying to draw people from the online stores, and we're comparing prices.

Flourish nittogen did have a run of mold problems, but if it is the newer production run it will not occur (smell the bottle, if it smells faintly of menthol, room temp storage is fine)l. The older material is fine if refrigerated, just like Flourish.

Hmm...I just smelled the bottle. (Oh the things we go through in this hobby) I'm not sure if I smell any menthol, of course my nose is stuffy and I'm half asleep. The bottle doesn't smell bad in any way, though.

-- I just asked chris to smell it and he says it does smell very faintly....so I guess it's okay:)

Thanks RTR:)
