Native species Tanks

Anyone in general (and KY specifically) know the rules about keeping native species? I have a 55 gal tank for my classroom and I wanted to start a native species tank of small bluegill, perch, warmouth, pumpkinseed etc.

I've contacted the KY F&W but I'm waiting to hear back. Any tips on keeping wild fish?

Try to get them feeding off of pellets as soon as you can. The fish you listed will eat prepared foods quite quickly. Add plants to make it seem as natural as possible and also use heavy filtration, native species are messy. Other than that, I think you'll be fine.

Any update? I'm in TN and this sounds like a cool idea to try at some point.

Not 100% sure but I believe you are allowed to keep natives in KY. But I know it is illegal in TN
