What are some wierd bottom feeders. My silver tip shark just died and have been looking for a neat fish to replace him with. I have cories and a pleco. What are some wierd peacful bottom feeders?

Black Ghost Knife

A beautiful and unique fish, if your tank is big enough (they can grow to a foot or more). They are peaceful except to members of their own species and fish small enough to fit into their mouths (I have read that they will eat Neon Tetras once they get big).

Sorry to hear about your silver tip.

Maybe smaller than what you're looking for, but characidiums are cool little darter-type fish.

Paradox fish also seem interesting, although I have yet to see one except in pictures.

A like small shrimp as bottom feeders, and they make excellent cleaners all around....I like Amano, Tiger, and Red Cherry. As for the Black Ghost Knife, I'm not too fond of him....too wierd looking for me, and eats too many fish, at least the ones I've seen.

I don't know if they qualify as wierd but corydoras are very peaceful bottom dwellers and once you have enough they are highly entertaining to watch.

I agree with tuvok. Get an army of panda cories. Cories are one of the few ( that I am aware of) peaceful bottom feeders that don't hide all the time. If you don't mind never seeing them, horsefaced loaches or kuhlies.

Ah yes, he has corys, but there are over 100 types of cories with all different color schemes. Maybe trying to get a couple rare types of cory or a unique color scheme. Something along those lines. But with over 100 types there is plenty of variety.
Check out this page for a picture of all the different corys:

And if you dont decide to get corys check out planetcatfish anyway because it has just about every type of catfish in existance!
