Need a little help with ID please

So ive been growing these two plants for a little while now, and have absolutely no idea what they are, but they are good looking in my tank..

the first one has been floating along the top of the tank for a month or two, and just taking over, was wondering if it should be in the ground, or maybe tied to a piece of driftwood..

This second one is kinda confusing, because ive asked people locally, and every LFS tells me something different, and the petsmart people don't even know what im talking about...

pennywort (hydrocotyle leucocephala) and tiger lotus

The pennywort is normally a floater. But you can add a weight to one end so it looks as if its a stem plant reaching for the top of the tank.

why is my tiger lotus not look like the ones on google search? am I doing something wrong for it to be green instead of red?

Do you add fertilizers and have high-ish light?
If not, that's probably why.

I believe there are different varieties of the plant. Some stay green, others go red, some get all and others stay dwarf.

that makes sense... the ones on the right of my tank are floating their leaves on the surface, and the one on the left is staying dwarf
