Anyone know? I picked it up today and can't find it anywhere.

Thanks! Everyone seems to think this is a very good looking pleco. I can't argue with that though. I checked the whole catalog last night on Planet Catfish and scotcat, but I can't find it. I also posted on Pleco Fanatics and Planet Catfish and no one seems to know. I found a common that looked "similar" but many have told me it is not it, I'm horrible with ID'ng fish.

he he he

He might be a common. My common has an orange-like color on the tips of his fins, and tail....and a cool spiral on his tummy. But, he's just a common. Yours might be a common as well. From what I understand there is a large number of Pleco species, so he may be a mix of many, a mutt if I may. ;)

As long as he doesn't lose his coloration I will not care if it's a common. Right now it's between 3.5-4" long. I'd just hate for him to lose it as he is deffinitely an eye catcher.

All I can say about that is mine is about a year and a half old and he hasn't lost any color. As a matter of fact it has gotten more noticable. That pic was taken in July of 2004, he's close to a foot now, and when he flares out his fin, the orange is real pretty.

jamzwayne, off topic but it's my post so I guess thats ok, I was looking at your tank and am curious of the dimensions because it looks wider then a 55, more like a 75. Just curious.

Nice, would love to see a pic of it.
