First let me make sure I am getting this correct...
You have a 50gallon tank that has only been up and running for a month. you took some of the stuff from your old tank and put it in this one.
You have about 60w total light on the tank,
And you have a bunch of fish and coral in the tank?
If this is correct, I think you need to definitelly add more rock and more light. you reall want to acheive about 3watts per gallon of water, so in your case that would be 150watts. Corals and good algae's are very light dependant. also alot of them require good flow and surface agitation.
Also you water is more than likely going through a new cycle, depending on how big your old tank was, how much rock, sand and water, you moved and how much new water you added, this might be a big cycle. You need to watch your water parameters closely so that you don't loose fish. Also if something does die, remove it immediately. It will creat a chain reaction that will make the cycle spike, and possible kill everything you put in your tank...
I'd suggest buying some livesand from the LFS and doing what you can to safely cycle your tank.
IMO, the hippo tang will outgrow your tank, espeacially if its a tall tank and not a long or wide tank.
I hope this isn't to harsh, but I think its better to know hear it, than it is to find out later when everything dies...
