So I'm still in the process of rescaping my 15 gallon (been having a hell of a time thanks to the mess that ADA aquasoil has caused in my tank. right now I'm waiting on my new filter to cycle so hopefully the bacteria bloom I have goes away :swear:)

The tank feels like it's missing something though, and I think that is some type of background plants to go behind my leggy pieces of driftwood / in the centerish area of the tank.

Here's a picture of what the tank looks like right now (again, excuse to white cloudy haziness, I know you can't see much because of it; also, excuse my inability to hold a camera level lol :duh:):

I'm going to be planting glosso for my ground cover plant (and if that doesn't work out I'm growing some dwarf clover immersed so I'll have that option as well). I have to play around with the driftwood on the right (need to get it back under the substrate) and move those anubias there. Also, the crypts, once they stop melting, should fill in that left and right side just fine.

What I need is a plant for the left corner (between the V that the two pieces of driftwood in the back make) and something that will go in front of the heater. The height for the plant on the left should be about 8 inches, and the back maybe 10-11 inches.

I don't want anything overly demanding (hence why most of my tank is moss / crypts / anubias lol, the aquasoil is mostly for the groundcover I want go grow ). My tank has 40 watts of CFl spirals bulbs, pressurized CO2, the substrate (as mentioned) as ADA aquasoil, and I will start dosing ferts once I have all the water params under control.

thanks :)

Hairgrass would be nice and accentuate the delicate nature of your wood work. Filling the middle gap with some low growing red crypts and anubias could work nicely too.

I like your mossy driftwood. I have Bacopa monnieri in the back of my 10g, and it has pretty medium green foliage. Easy to keep, I have found. It does like regular ferts, and shoud be perfect with your amount of light. It would contrast nicely with your darker moss and anubias. Supposedly it flowers, but I have yet to see it do so, after having it for over 2 years.

Really, though, with a little over 2.5 wpg and pressurized, you could pick just about anything you want!

thanks :). the moss looks a lot nicer once it's grown out (more like the piece on the right), but because of the water clarity issues growth has kind of stagnated.

how about some dwarf sag in the back, in front of the heater? that doesn't get to be more than a few inches high, keeping the V shape in the middle of the tank.

I'm trying to avoid stem plants. Maybe a val for that back left corner? I'm not sure, definitely something tall and thin would be nice (hairgrass might work although I think I'd rather something a little bit thicker, and also something that won't spread as quickly as hairgrass). Crypt spiralis might work too (I think they're easier than vals)

i know, when I said "thicker" i meant in terms of stem diameter not overall size of the plant.
Cryptocoryne Crispatula might work. problem is finding these plants lol
