need help asap.. fish gasping at the surface

there is carbon in the filter and i have two thermometers in the tank a glass one and a digital

im not sure what kind of danios they are about an inch long each all white with a whiter stripe down the middle

the ammonia kit is just called ammonia kit
fill vile to the line then add 8 drops from two different bottles each and match to the color

one of the fish seems to fall down an inch once and a while the swim back to the top.. im guessin hes on his way out??

should i replace him with another danio while cycling or look for fish more suitable to 7.6ph or.......???

The actual ph number isn't an issue if its between 6-8. I wouldn't worry about matching a fish to that. Stable ph in the tank is what is important. I am not sure what danio that is, maybe a pearl or giant. I have zebra danio's they are tough as nails when it comes to cycling. They have about 4 stripes on them.

Good it's a salicylate type kit, so the readings shouldn't be interfered with by your dechlorinator, seems like you're doing everything right.

Good to see you have carbon in your filter, that reduces some water quality concerns.

The possibility of a gill infection is starting to seem more likely to me, the combined stress of the new home and fishy cycle would be enough to allow flukes or ich to take hold in the gills pretty quickly.
