Need help ASAP with FW Eel

ok i understand that already. Like i have stated before, I just need some tips on the best way to go about feeding him. I've tried shrimp and minnows. So far nothing.

get a cocktail shrimp and dip it in garlic oil.. then throw it in the tank. that's the last ditch effort

however, he will probably not eat until he gets into some brackish water... which is why the people here are stressing that you get the water taken care of ASAP.

the behavior is a result of the environment, until you change the environment, the behavior will probably not change... certainly not permanently.

and your LFS stores are correct.. there is no such thing as a freshwater snowflake eel. there is no such thing as a true freshwater eel. period. they are all brackish and must have brackish water and eventually full salt water. however, when they're young that can survive in freshwater for a short period of time, and this is (unfortunately) when they are sold as freshwater eels.

If the fish is comfortable with the water, and assuming the fish is healthy, it would readily be going after those live shrimp and minnows. I had a G. tile back in the day that didn't adjust to eating even frozen silversides and shrimp for months. I was feeding ghost shrimp up to that point. If the fish is healthy and unstressed it will definitely go after the live food you are offering.

ok thanks for all the help. I'm going to get doing the brackish water asap and then will try out the food tips. Thanks alot everybody. I'll let you know the results.
