Need help breeding catfish

I was looking this morning for an hour or two, trying to find a detailed guide on breeding catfish but i could only find little notes not really explaining it. If anyone out here has some experience, could you please teach me the tricks of the trade?

What kind of catfish?

Check www.planetcatfish.com and www.scotcat.com Both contain some information, but a lot of what is out there will be specific to a genus or species, rather than generally applicable to all catfish. For some, successful breeding in an aquarium hasn't happened, so no one can say what is needed.
