Hey guys i was looking for a pleco that is hardy, likes driftwood, and will eat prepared vegies. I Liked the clown Pleco, will he be good in a Newly cycled 55 gallon? Plus can someone give me any information about them?? like food, behavior,PH,ect...??

thank you.

Yes i did go there and i like the clown pleco. can i have some info about him they dont dhow much there.

I know the basics. They like driftwood and are fairly easy to keep, stay around 4-6" and don't need much in the way of special care. Just algae wafers and the occasional bit of fresh veggie. They do hide alot though.

ok so if i dont have any algea and i feed them on vegies and driftwood and sometimes algea walfels theyll be fine?

Yeah, most plecs can't survive on algae alone anyways so you have to feed them supplements.

My clowns (L103) are very fond of shrimp pellets. I remember that the common plecos I kept years ago were as well - wouldn't let the other fish near them once they knew the pellets were in the tank.

If its a non-aggresive tank, skip the plecs and go for a farlowella twig

Bristlenose all the way! They love driftwood, breed easily plus they will eat algae and almost anything else you throw in the tank.
