I'm looking at buying another aquarium and don't know how many gallons it is the seller says its a 100 gallon aquarium but I'm not sure the dimensions are
60 x 15 1/2 x 18 can some one please tell me I don't want to get taken to the cleaners I'm trading my 2 55 gallon aquariums for this

welcome to AC! based on the dimensions, it's only about 73 gallons. pass on this deal, and let the seller know that it's easy to find the volume online so he shouldn't keep trying to sell it as a 100g.

for the next deal that comes along, look up at the blue bar at the top of this page. there is a button that says "conversions'. just click on it and it takes you to a page where you can enter in the numbers and come up with the tank volume.

(60 x 15 1/2 x 18)/237= 70.63Gal (rough calculation) I think that was the formula.. may be a little higher by a gallon or two

Almost, you divide by 231 not 237, nice try though :)
Also this formula only works if the dimensions are in inches.

That seller is a jerk for lieing, unfortunately this scam happens way too often. Hope you find an honest seller and gl!

Lol I haven't used any math since i graduated college...
I remember if it was in feet it was L*W*H*7.5 right?

Lol, np. That formula seems right, but I prefer using the inches formula considering tanks come in all sizes which aren't always going to be a nice length in terms of feet.
