a friend was out in the gulf catching shrimp for his baitshop and caught these 2 fishies in his nets, the red one (possibly a small snapper?) appears to be pregnant and is in the 55 gallon the other is in a 1000 gallon pool and looks like a freshwater pleco and a butterfly combined even has 6 legs it walks with and his face is sorta like an alligator but noone ive talked to have ever seen them before can anyone help?

firt one looks like a sea robin to me... I can't tell too much from the pic but notice it's got the feeler type things before it's fan fins... I did a search, I found that they go by:
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Osteichthyes
Family: Triglidae
Genus: Prionotus
species: evolans

On which? I can 100% guarentee you the second is a Barred Serrano Basslet. I worked at a fish store for years and did all the orders, and everytime we got Barred Serrano's in, that is what we got. It is probably not pregnant, they are just a chunky build. Others might have more color but those are probably adult or male. The first one is hard, you might want to send a pic to Bob Fenner at WetWebMedia and see if he can id. It might be some kind of flathead or something, not sure. Anyway hope this helps and good luck!

Hmm. Looks like a sea robin. I'm 85% sure.
