Need Help IDing A Fish

Hey guys,

I just got this fish yesterday from a buddy of mine. He wasn't sure what it is, but he told me it was pretty friendly and would do fine in a community tank. He was right. Had it for about a day now and it is by far the shyest fish in the tank. But I still have no idea what it is. At first I thought it was some sort of ram, but then I saw a picture of a paradise fish and it could be that also.

I googled and Apistogramma cacatuiodes is the cockatoo cichlid, correct?

Yes Cockatoo Cichlid is the correct common name for your fish. Nice colors it has.
