Mermaid, your boy is a veiltail. You say you just got him, so the chances are he's still young and his tail might keep growing. Could also have some spade tail in him, but from what I've seen, those are extremely rare and unlikely.

As for your female, it just looks like a healed injury that caused the cleft in her anal fin.
