I got this filter with my 240.

eheim.jpg

I know its an Eheim, but what model is it? The top is around the size of a basketball. The intake tube is 25/34mm.. I believe the first number is the inner diameter and the second is the outer.. The return tube that you can see in the picture that is connected to the top mount pump is 16/22mm.

I would like to find out its flow rate and if parts are still available if it so happens to need it. Also, is it good enough to run my 240 (It was being used as the only filter on the tank for years before I bought it) with a colony of, say, 10 fronts?

The filter works and was running when I first looked at the tank before I bought it.

Thanks for the help!

Is that a stand-on-the-pedal and flip-up-the-lid trash can in the background? If so, it gives a great idea of the size of that filter (besides it being as wide as a basketball).

It's gotta be an Eheim external pond filter. They're made to handle ponds in the thousands of gallons. Heck yeah, it's good enough for a 240gal filled w/ frontosa.

Try this link:

Mongo-sized Eheim Pond Filters

I haven't seen one like that in years.

LOL...yea, it looks like that sucker will do the job...cool filter!

:read: Not sure but could possibly be an older version of Eheim 3481 (# might be different) w/ pre-filter on top or customized. 1189gph. ??? MONSTER filter!! Good job!! "T"
