Need help selecting a fliter. (See post)

Are you keeping plants in this tank? If you are, I would recommend going with a canister filter so that there is less surface agitation. The more surface movement, the more oxygen and less CO2 which is not good for plants. If you do decide to go with a canister, I would recommend a rena filstar xp2 for your size tank. Excellent filter and best bang for the buck.
 
I already have an Ehilm ECCO canister filter on the tank. Jsut want somehting that is a HOB to add to the mix. I made my decision and went with the Penguin 150B. I liek it cause I have an old pengui of similar size on my saltwater tank. SO it makes fitler media eaiser cause the same size cartriges fit both units.

Oh and I rinse and refil the filter with carbon at least one tiem to get extended use out of the filters so I don't have to constantly purchase new ones and spend lots of money on that.
