Need Help Sexing/Identifying fish

I bought this guy as a sunshine peacock and would like to know if anybody knows what sex it is and maybe some tips on picking a mate?...I've added two more pics of another tankmate, that was also tagged as a sunshine peacock. This is by far the most aggressive fish in the tank.

please tell me that's not a jack dempsey in there with your Haplochromis (lake victoria .. not peacock). please.
 
It is a Dempsey. I have a male and a female dempsey as well as a pair of GT, a single female jaguar,what i've learned to be a Salvini, a Pleco, and a featherfin synadontis. The Fish Store that I deal with, claims they are all south american ciclids of similar temperment so it was ok. They've been in my 120 for near a year now, with no real trouble. (a couple nipped fins when spawnning occurs, but thats it)
 
Yea looks like a Hap. Here is a pic of what my sunshine looks like:

They're all South American except your new addition. His colors would be better if you keep him in a tank with the correct water parameters for his species.
 
You also have what looks to be a type of Copadichromis in there from Lake Malawi. That is a real terrible mix of fish, as your Lake Victorian and Lake Malawi cichlid requires far different water chemistry than your SA/CA cichlids. I suggest doing either/or, but definately not both.

I'm in the process of setting up another 55 gallon for the lake victorians. I've got to make some decisions now on what to do with the Lake Malawi cichlid. He's three yrs old now, not sure I wanna part with him, but don't have room for many more tanks.
 
Lake Malawi and Lake Victoria have very similar water conditions. Your Malawian cichlid should do fine with the Victorian cichlids, as long as there is not a tremendous size difference. This is actually a very common mix for African tanks.
