I have 10 sponges in 200 gal tank and I'm running a whisper 30 in case I have a problem with one of my smaller tanks. I filled a 20 long today with water and media from my gal. along with a 4x4 weighted sponge, I expect the tank to be ready by Tues. or Wed. of next week.
When ever I start a new fry or juvie tank I do it that way, I have had very little losses, my Angel tanks are thriving and just this morning we had a pair of wild angels lay eggs for the first time. I had to set up yet another tank to receive the fry in about 10 -12 days. I have 13 tanks setup including my new 20 long, we went from 8 tanks to 13 in just two weeks. We have 7 females loaded with eggs ,when the fry are 6-7 weeks we are going to transfer all of them into 4 grow tanks that I will be putting into service late next week. I will take pics of all the tanks and the various stages our Angels are in with in the next two weeks. Talk about addiction to fish !!!!
