Need help with next step please

Hi guys, pleasure to be here and i've read plenty of other threads - there certainly is some knowledge on this site to be shared. I'm thinking some people have far too much time on their hands!!
I'm a relative newbie, had a 15 gallon tropical tank set up now for about 4 1/2 months and its doing well i think for my first - luck or judgement not quite sure! I have 3 Neon Tetras, 11 Guppys, 1 Koi Angel and a Zebra snail for cleaning up. I am very shortly getting a 60 gallon tank, bow front, in order for my guys to have much more room, but would also like to purchase a few more fish. Was thinking of getting another 10 or so Neons as i've heard with those sort of numbers they display schooling properties which i like idea of. If possible without overstocking, i'd like to get another semi-large fish (the angel is growing quite quicky now) but don't want to upset what is a nice balanced tank. If anyone has ideas, i would like colourful fish if possible as i have thought of a marine set up but decided to save that for the future. Cichlids are very colorful, i like them, but i'm concerned at putting aggressive fish in.

well.. first of all your 15g is severely overstocked

and as far as the 60g goes-- you will have room for all of the fish you have and the school of neons you want no problem.. you should be able to add a couple larger fish as well but be careful and do go overstocking again! lol

also... if your not set on the neons-- I personally reccomend Glowfish instead-- jsut personal preference. they get about the same size and they also form schools but they are much prettier and very brightly colored.. they come in pink,orange, and yellow and I reccomend getting some of each for a cool looking school.

Glowfish are acctually a genetically modified variant of something else from what I hear-- but mine seem very healthy and they are really pretty

The GloFish is a trademarked brand of genetically modified (GM) fluorescent zebrafish with bright red, green, and orange fluorescent colour. Although not originally developed for the ornamental fish trade, it is the first genetically modified animal to become publicly available as a pet.

In 1999, Dr. Zhiyuan Gong and his colleagues at the National University of Singapore took a gene from a jellyfish that naturally produced a green fluorescent protein and inserted it into the zebrafish genome. This caused the fish to glow brightly under both natural white light and ultraviolet light.

Yeah lol.. I was just doing some of my own research-- its just a zebra danio with color added... I think its kinda cool-- tho I can see that it could be devistating if some were released into the wild in a tropical region

Wouldn't the fluoro colours make them easy pickings for predators?


Unless they're colour-blind maybe...

possibly.... but the chance that some escaped would change wild fish as we know them haha

they are very pretty and wood look great schooling bt pretty sure you can't get them/they're not legal in UK. Anyone with any suggestions then for larger fish - i appreciate threads like this get posted all the time but it seems that there are so many people on here with vast aquatic experience it would be a shame for me to pick the wrong fish for my setup (mainly concerned about the angel compatibility). Suggestions would be great so i can go look but at the moment my biggest concern is choosinga fish i like, not the RIGHT fish!!
 
well if your looking for a more common schooling fish.. there are many types of tetras that are cool, and ALL of them create schools

and I dont see why any of them would be illegal...

get some neons, or cardinal tetras or something along those lines.. brightly colored and they will make a nice school for you
