Need help

pH is 8.4, not 5.4. I've looked at those API test cards ad nauseam (at old LFS job) and recognize the color anywhere. So don't add buffer at the moment. The number on the card does kinda look like a 5 though.

Fish have always been very tolerant of salinity changes IME--even relatively large ones. Inverts and corals, on the other hand, are far from it.

The clowns died.. and i drip acclimate fish for an hour inverts for 2 hours corals for 4 hours till they are in 75% of my tank water. the corals and anemone are all 100% and thriving the picture will get bigger if you click on it and its 8.4 not 5.. ive never seen a sw card go under 7.

btw ive decided to just keep my dragonet and give up on fish.. tired of killing them.. I don't think its fair since I cannot identify diseases well enough and quarantine fish... I will give it another go when I have my second tank setup.. right now I use a 5g for q in emergencies.. But if I don't have the right meds then what good is it.. so anyways ... hopefully my dragonet corals and anemone live on and enjoy there habitat I have tried to create for them.. btw I couldnt find the other clown and I'm having nitrate issues(again).. need to find him asap..

Sorry to here about your clowns. I myself have lost a few fish and i now it is hard.
if you have any live rock in your tank then there is a good possability that your clown has become crab food.
