I am going to be setting up an old tank I have here around the house for my daughter. I am setting it up as a terrarium for turtles. It is a 55 gallon. I made a post about it a while back. The top support is broken so filling it up for fish is not an option. I can't bear throwing it away or letting it sit empty. I took the kids fishing yesterday morning and my little girl caught a small tutrle about an inch and a half shell. We put it back though. I would rather buy a turtle than take one from the wild. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had any experience or a point in the right direction in setting this up. I plan to use a power head that I have here for a filter. I saw an attachment for it at the pet store for it. Eventually I plan to use a square of under gravel filter to replicate a water fall. That will take time and trial and error to get there. But I would like to know more about what type of live plants I can use(that the turtle won't eat), care for them once I get them, and any warnings you might know of. Thanks for any info.
