Picked this up at the LFS I thought it was a baby shroom in the tank so they sold it to me for 5 bux (normal price for random shrooms not attached to rocks), brought it home and when I dumped it in the container for a drip acclimation I heard it hit bottm. Thought to myself wow that was hard for a shroom, picked it up and found out it was a baby LPS, so I mounted it to some rubble and here we are needing an ID.

IT IS OPEN...LOL it is very small, that is why I though it was a baby shroom in the back of the tank, it is a little smaller than the size of my pinky fingernail.

yeah but at the price I couldn't go home without it. I will now search elegance and make sure I have him in a good spot, he is currently in a high light and medium to high flow area.

the only thing that makes me say ummm....however...ummmm is that its sucha small baby at the moment and has the potential to expand out quite big when it grows.....the colour aswell is a very common elegance coral colour...but, the centre aint quite right..But, is that because its so small at the moment....dang...you dont half pick em.....

If your lucky enought and it does turn out to be an elegance, you have had a steal at that price, they normally cost a fortune...

hummmmm

Well I guess we will se what it is as he gets bigger. Looks really cool right now though, I kind of hope he keeps the shape and color he has now. Looks sweet to me!!

Thank you!!

Anyone else have any ideas to throw into the hat??? I am still open to suggestions.

No offence Andy but I just want others to know I am still open, not sure after looking at elegance corals but there is some resembaence (sp) so I figure we could look at other options.
