I have a 55 gal set up right now with 2 - 15watt lights (18,000K Aqua-Glo) as I did not know what to get that would fit in my hoods that came with the tank. I have Java Fern and another low light plant can't remember the name right now. I also use Flourish once a week. I keep it in the fridge (lfs said to) I pulled the Java Fern out yesterday and put it in a 5.5 gal tank with some Java Moss (new purchase) and some drift wood (want it to get water logged) with a heater, small filter and a 13 watt pc light on it. Then I plan on attaching to the driftwood (idea's how to do that as lfs said to use rubberbands)
The 55 I want to redo with some driftwood partly covered with Java Fern and moss and have some other plants (have not made up my mind yet am open to idea's) I currently have a Lyretail swordtail, moonlight gourami, 2 common pleco's, and 4 long fin danio's. I'm also finding some little snails which I would like to eliminate (idea's). I have a Emperor 400, 200watt heater, currently a ugf (not sure if I should remove?) 550 penguin powerhead (do have a kit to reverse flow that I am not using and another 550 w/kit I am not currently using) bubblewall and 2 decoration that have bubble stones in them that I currently don't have hooked up. I also have about 2.5" of substrate light and tan mix. It is not small nor too large when I use my gravel cleaner it picks up easily to be cleaned.
I have a 29 gal that I can drain my water into and put the fish in and just move my filter over to do that changes I need to do to the 55 gal.
