First of all, look at what I have already down below at ending.
I'm getting a 20-30 gal. US to set up soon in addition to my my 75, maybe 2-20 to 30 gal. tanks. Anyway, I want a pair of colorful, active, breeding cichlids with lots of personality. Ideally I'd like to put them in my 75. If I were to, which current residents would have to be relocated to the 20-30? This due to incompatabilty and current stocking levels. I'd like to keep my severum,Red Hooks,Geo Juruparis,Redtail and Bala at least. If thats not gonna work or pan out, what cichlids would best fit into a 20-30 gal. and procreate?
My current chemistry is: Temp- 78-82 Nitrite- 0 Nitrate- 20
Amm.- 0 and PH- 6.4 TO 6.6 (Thats tap Ph aswell). I have 4 lava rocks (on flat slate rock), assortment of artifical plants and 1 live java fern I'm trying to get to grow, rocky substrate and some driftwood in 75gal. The 20-30 isn't setup yet but I do have a 10g. up and running with 1 cave, rocky substrate, couple of art. plants and grass. Its chem is. Temp- 80 Nitrite-0 Nitrate- 40 Amm.-0 and Ph- 7.4. All numbers were before water change Tues. afternoon.
Which can I do with which cichlids?

agree with o-man for the smaller tank....

i think with territory "dissagreements" you'd have problems, particularly if they started breeding.....someone would end up as dinner, and i dont think itd be "severum,Red Hooks,Geo Juruparis,Redtail and Bala " tho....

i have a 30 g with:
6 green tiger barbs,
6 kuhlie loaches,
3 african butterfly cichlids(
anomalochromis thomasi
2 kribensis
1 synondontis eupterus....featherfin catfish

(its overstocked till i get a 4\5 ft tank)

but ive digressed..
go for the kribs or thomasi, kribs are easy to breed....apparently, the thomasi i have 1 male who is exhibiting marvelous display colours.....

go for the kribs, or the thomasi

kribs or some sort of apistogramma
