It'd be better if you have 2 females to 1 male. Male's tend to get territorial and aggressive towards other males

Yes, male gouramis are as territorial as bettas. Placing 2 males in a small tank is practically a death sentence for one of them.
maybe honey gouramis, dwarfs usually dont last long...

I agree. You won't find female dwarf gouramis easily in stores, as most are either all male stocks or the females are pumped up with hormones to look like males. Those females usually end up sickly and die in your tank without any notice.
I would say honey or sparkling gouramis are a much better choice. JMO.
