Need Opinions! Most Recognizable Superheroes?

I collected comics for years (and I'm about ready to SELL, they're worth MUCH more now) so I may be biased. The most recognizable/mainstream superheroes currently IMO are:

Top 3 all time:
Superman
Spiderman
Batman

Mid level:
The Punisher
Spawn
The Incredible Hulk
Wolverine
Flash
Iceman
The Thing
Human Torch

I've got quite a few of the Batman graphic novels. I pick one up every now and again if I'm in a book store. My short list would be

Batman
Superman
Spiderman

I'm not really familiar with all the other characters. Heard of most of them just don't know anything about them except for in the movies (X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc).
