what is this?? grew to the top and flowered in 2 days thats about 20" of growth

aponogeton of some sort. A better pic of the bottom half would probably ease id issues.

I agree! I am almost sure it is aponogeton, I have one and it flowers just like this.

I have some of those in my RCS tank and they are Aponogeton. Though I must say I have never seen one flower.

I've never seen an aquarium plant grow nearly 1/2" per hour. That's incredible!!

Yep, apons do that when they're sending up a bloom stalk. The main plant will go dormant afterward, though. So it's a choice between letting it flower (and trying to grow new plants from it) or cutting the stalk off before it does to keep the 'mother' plant instead.
