thanks for the advice guys - unfortunately i am going to have to risk it because my riend is very stupid and must not care about these fish - so im gunna give them a home - if they fight i will take them to the lfs this week

Definitely keep an eye out, the fact that they are both mated could be an issue. Mated pairs tend to be more territorial, have yours selected an area of your tank to host by chance?

Also, out of curiosity, what does 67 UK gallons convert to for US, sorry, not familiar with the conversion. 50 US perhaps?

it works out about 77 us gallons

and no my original pair have not selected an area - they were the first fish in the aquarium so they sorta took the lot - oh oh may be trouble coming !

Generally speaking from everything I have read its not a great idea. However, you never know until you try. It sounds like you have already released them and it may be ok. Keep an eye on them and be prepared to find another home if it doesn't work out.

You mentioned seahorses... what type and what else are you planning on adding soon?

no idea what king the horses are - they are a brownish colour but apparently turn red or yellow when aged?

not adding anything else soon - too much for my liking is going in there too quick
