I have been changing some tanks around and have had a few filters sitting dry. I went to hook up one of my cascade filters and the white gasket thing that connects the media baskets to the motor was dry rotted. Without this piece it will not seal properly. I can find the outside black gasket but this is a white piece that goes on the inside of the filter. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? Heck does anyone even know what I am talking about...LOL

Google the filter model number and the word gasket. Pick your favorite online retailer and order a replacement.
Dr Fosters would have it and I am sure Big Als would too.. Simply contact them. A local fish shop could probably order you one as well...

I have tried this, apparently gasket is not the right word as I have been through pages and pages of google hits and nothing. It is like a rubber connector more than a gasket I guess.
