Need replacement gasket thingy

It's a Pennplax, not marineland.

I've tried to find a parts list for the Cascade series without much luck. Your best bet may be calling your LFS or one of the big online retailers like Big Al's or Drs Foster & Smith, as was suggested before. There's a good chance they'll know what you need and where to get it. Sadly Pennplax doesn't appear to have very good info online.

I looked at that but the piece isn't showing, I will have to see if I didn't throw it away I can get a pic of the particular piece I am talking about.

I know exactly the piece you mean, and don't know what to call it either. I would just email consumerservice@pennplax.com and explain what it does, and include the diagram Zig linked to...hopefully they will be able to provide you with the part, if not I bet there is something at the hardware store that would substitute!

I think it's called media basket joint seal. (U) Sorry it's kind of blurry. This is the same seal I went looking for when I was setting up mine (Cascade 1000), only to find it was attached to the top assembly.

Nice. Jannika is correct I think. So you have a part number too! CCF221. Maybe, assuming that's the diagram set for your size unit.

Once you find somewhere that sells that, I'd probably go ahead and order a new main seal too. If it's not already bad it's certainly going if the other seal fell apart on you.
