hi, i have a few groupers who are used to eating live food. usually i would catch the food myself but its getting very cold and fish are kinda sparse. does anyone know of a resource where i could buy larger feeder fish for my groupers?
You could set up a goldfish breeder tank. You may wanna go to a fish market and ask for fish scraps if you have one near you. Another thing you could do is feed them frozen blood worms. I see that was your first post so welcome!!!
thank you for the welcome, i have tried to get fish scraps from markets but they never seem to have them. goldfish would be a fallback but they really hold no nutrients.
Yeah they aren't a diet fish. Im not really what sure you could do maybe you could get a nice coat and go fishing and good gloves lol....where you from that its getting cold??? Got pics of the Groupers?
I am in LI, NY and its 20 F or less. and i havnt got pictures right now but they are just groupers i caught myself, one a scamp grouper(scampy), a coney grouper(conner) and a tiger grouper.
the scamp is about 1 1/3 ft., tiger is about 1ft, and the coney is only about 7-9inches. ive got all of em in different tanks, groupers dont get along to well, and in each tank i got a couple other fish too. the only problem i would have with the chiclids is the filtration, 4 40-90 gallon tanks takes alot and i dont have another good filter =(
