I bought a Trio Of Johanni 2 blue males and one yellow female (I think That Correct). Well anyway one of the males would circle with the feamale and onewould break the chain and the other would follow, all of this done in a regular 29 gallon tank. Also in the begining the female marked off her territory which is a small cave and would never let either male near or in the cave. Later on she allows one of the males but not the other. Now and then it seems the two fish will take turns guarding the cave from the other fish. Is This a sign of a spawning couple or is this just a incident. Either Way what should i Do? Add more flat rocks or keep the Same layout?

Personally unless you see some major carnage I would not touch a thing. In my personal opinion the interesting behavior of cichlids is why we keep them as compared to a schooling fish.
It could be spawning.
But a female doesn't mark off her territory and then invites a male into her cave; it is the other way round.
He swims around the female and is shivering all over, trying to get her in to his cave.
Another point, two males of the same species in the same tank is asking fore trouble unless your tank is big enough (180 gal. or bigger) You could try to swap one of the males fore a female at your LFS.
The best way of keeping mbuna’s is one male with at least two (or more) females.
