Hello everyone,

I would like to upgrade my lighting in my 35g community aquarium for plants and freshwater fish.

I have a standard hood light whatever come with standard petco aquarium
with width of mine aquarium is 35''.

and I can't afford $300 lighting system :headshake2:

what are my options?

Ill give you some ADWICE!

learn to spell advice.... lol
Just joking

oh and as far as your question.... what are you planning on doing with the tank?

are you planning on having live plants? or do you just want the tank brighter?

if you want plants.. I would go with some Retrofitted CFIs... they are cheap and easy- and can provide plenty of wattage on a tank that size

I have a lot of live plants and I want the light to be comfortable for 2 schools of fishes (barbs, danios) and blue acara.

I bought a new bulb 24''
