Okay this is a pic of my 60 gal tank and I really don't like the way it looks. I just wanted to see if anyone could give me some advice on how to make it look nicer....should I add something, move something, trim, take something out, etc? I would like to make it look like those nice amano tanks if possible...Any feedback is great.

I like it the way it is, actually. The only thing I would do is in the lower left hand corner, where there is nothing, I might try a Red Lotus (lily pad plant). You can keep it short just by snipping off the shoots as they grow upwards. They even sometimes throw off a bloom. I think adding some red color would be all you need to do.

And, yes, a black backdrop.

LOL! Looked again, and think maybe a nice piece of driftwood in the center, too.

The back of the tank is actually painted black...Yeah I have one there it laying down and it is covered with taiwan moss but it got covered by the pennywort

A great way to start to learn how to do Nature Aquarium style aquascapes is to emulate. Find a tank you like, and then do everything you can to make your tank look just like it. You'll learn a lot and then end up with a tank you like.

Thats a very good point, but is there anything I could do with what I got?

I love to have some driftwood.

Jmhart, could you please tell what grassy plant in the foreground.
