i traded a old sump for a very new cascade 1000 filter i need to know what media goes in what order it has 3 white baskets that sit inside what goes in the top basket? middle basket? and bottom basket? thanks Rod

I think you can have them in any order. I have one, the first tray has filter floss, second is bio-rings, third is the black sponge thing.
ok thanks i filled it like this: top basket: sponge, middle basket: bio rings/carbon, bottom basket: sponge
I have this canister. It goes as follows
Bottom Tray, course black sponge with a white pad on top.
Middle White pad with bio media
Top - bio media
Bottom Tray, course black sponge with a white pad on top.
Middle White pad with bio media
Top - bio media
As canisters go, if you have a lot of sponge/mechanical media on the bottom, what's above is pretty customizable. But since the water from the tank starts at the bottom, this is the best place to have the majority of your mech. media.
this cascade 1000 is so silent you dont think it is even running i finally had to put a plant in front of the return tube just so i could look and see its moving so i would see its on and working.
haha ya I had that problem before, I j ust put the return at the surface and as long as the water was moving I knew it was on.
