need some help with filter choices please help!

i would like to get a 72 or 90 gallon bow front i can get either for a very good price my question is this can i use a megaflow overflow with just a canister filter like the fluval 405 and have a undergravel filter would this work or would it be better to use the fluval with external plumbing? i want a clean install this will be my third tank the other two i have had in the past used simple power filters this is my first chance to go for a nice tank please help

Welcome to AC! I would recommend starting a thread in GFW asking for input for more visibility. If you decide to go UGF, make it RUGF.

does that mean reverse ugf? and with that setup would i use power heads or run them straight into my filter?

Yes...reverse flow.

and it will get more views. The RUGF can be driven by powerheads or canister discharge.

You could use an aquaclear powerhead which has reverse flow.
