I would like to start a saltwater tank with a few clownfish and some damsels. Is it better to buy a previously existing tank rather than set one up myself? If I buy an established tank, what should I look for and how would I go about transporting the system without killing the fish and destroying the aquarium? Any suggestions on where to buy an inexpensive tank/fish/supplies in San Diego?

Thanks!

its nice if u get an established system but only if it is healthy and transported properly. look online on ebay or something like craigs list to find one. make sure u do tons or research before starting the salt hobby it will really pay off. transporting...thats a long one..it would be easier to answer that one when ur about to buy one and we know its condition and size.

I have looked into tanks on ebay and craigslist. The prices seem to vary depending on the tank. I think these are good deals, but I just wanted to double-check: a 24 gallon aquarium AQUAPOD nano deluxe for $190 or a 55 Gallon Aquarium complete with fish, rocks, etc. for $275. Please let me know.

Thanks so much!
