Hi everyone. I'm baaaaccckkkk.

I will be going on vacation the last part of the month of November. I have my 5 gallon tank set up here at work with one Betta in it. What can I use to make sure that Phillipe (the fish) has food for the time I am gone, please? I will be a total of 12 days.

I do NOT want to tear the tank down and take Phillipe home unless is is absolutely mandatory. I can't trust the people here to feed him.

Any and all suggestions, advice will be gratefully accepted.

I'd make up little baggies of food--with just enough food for one feeding. Then get someone to dump one packet in every three days. That way the fish wont be over fed. I tape the packets to the tank lid, that way there is no confusion.

I'm going out of town in december and am hiring a "fish sitter" to take care of my fish, but for you one betta I'd just try to find one person at work who can remeber a couple of times to open and dump in food.

yeah, set up the food, and then call your job and tell the person to feed the fish right at that moment. that way you don't have to worry about them forgetting if you tell them when.

So I am assuming that you do not recommend a weekend-type feeder that you leave in there? I know it will probably casue a mess, but I am more concerned about making sure he has food, and cleaning the tank later.

it's better to feed less and ensure water quality than to come home to a malfunctioning feeder and a sick betta.
