Need some input on a new school for a well planted 20H.

How about rummynoses?

Been there, done that with Rummynoses. I want to try something I haven't kept before although if I could get my hands on some of these I' d be a happy man:

Hemigrammus
ulreyi, theBroken-line Tetra

Although I haven't seen any of these around since the early 1990's

personally, I don't think it matters. even rams can get pretty nasty when breeding if overcrowded, and a dominant fish like an angel is not going to help. both the pair and the angel will feel overcrowded. i think the territorial behavior will start to appear much sooner than you think it will.

i kept an angel in a 20H until she was 3 inches long, and by the end she was just not having it. a fully grown angel is a fairly large fish and when they feel overcrowded, can become aggressive. personally, I would rather you look at alternative housing options for the angel before buying any other fish and leave the kribs in the 20; they will be fine.

after you move the angel, consider a school of smaller tetras such as neons, black neons, or cardinals. i am also a huge fan of glolite tetras, but they get a little bit bigger than neons or cards.

If you've had rummynose you have probably had Glowlight's as well, but I have 7 Glowlights in my 29 gal and they seem to school very well.
