I hope this is the right place to post this.

I want to buy a new heater for my 75 gallon aquarium. Will 300W do the job? Should I get the one 300w or would two 200w be better? Looking for input.

I am looking at one of these:

Fluval LCD Electronic E 300 Watt or Finnex with Digital Controller

Has anyone ever used one of these? Can someone give me pros and cons on which brand to buy?

TIA,

I've got the Fluval E 300 on my 75 gal. It struggles to bring my tank to 76 or 77 degrees from my room's temp of 64. Admittedly, my room is cool (esp. in the winter), but the 300 watt model should be more than enough to compensate. I'm going to exchange it for a Jager 300 watt. I've heard good things about these.

Thanks, everyone, for your input.

Like Ozy said, if you have a canister filter go with an inline. Your filter circulates the heated water better and you have one less peice of equipment in your tank. Otherwise, +3 on the visitherms.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll be checking out all the suggestions.

Buy a Marineland Stealth. They come with a life time warranty, so if something goes wrong, they replace for free.
