Neolamprologus Brevis Kavala

Pitt - Great video. Tank and fish look really good.

Cool video Pitt and a classy tank. You make me wonder if I should give my shellies their own tank. I know you probably already stated this somewhere; but, how big is that tank and what are you using for substrate: PF sand?

Thanks gang..

Hey Razz that's the real deal on the sand came from Destin Florida off a clean beach powder white sand Gulf side.. its like sugar size grain.. This is a 29gal it sits below my top 29gal on an iron stand is why i had to shoot the video at an angle..

As for the sand i had to sift it to get out small particles of debris.. I found a piece of plastic in it.. No rinsing no boiling or anything just sifting it is all i did and no issues works great and should be a natural buffer.. So when i go to Tampa next year i will bring back another 5gal bucket of sand just in case hehehehe..

All of my shellies have their own tank.. not saying this isn't a bad issue its just my preference..

Hey ibr3ak i feed NLS flake and pellet and Omega one super veggie and a bayleessfishees spirulina pellet.. All of my foods contain garlic and paprika..

Oh BTW the lone brevis Kavala that was in the 120gal is now part of the clan so he fits in and actually he is the leader now hehehe coolness i have had him for some time now and i bet he is stocked for some action.. Just sucks putting him in a smaller setup when he was used to 120gal's..

Great video, Pitt. Great looking tank ibr3ak.

I've thought of using local sand before. Have to try it next time I need sand. If I got my sand naturally that would have made my decor 100% free. I love Florida!

Ethan dude thats all i would use just make sure you sift it if i lived in Florida..

ibr3ak not sure on the Kavala i know sunspots would show the yellow but i believe the females are smaller than the males..
