Neon Tetra dancing

I just noticed something I've never seen before - two of my 9 neon tetra were sparring, dancing, not sure what the it was - by the time I got my camera they fled into the vegetation... Does anyone know if they are agressive to each other or could that be mating?

Were they sort of circling each other?

Yes!! Over and over again - It was interesting because they reflect light and it was almost like a strobe light

haha, if they are mating, I can save money on buying new tetras... It looked more like two males duking it out.
