this is brutal, but i kill my fish with a big knife. Just do it as quick as is possible! Take them out lay it on the desk and chop it's head off. This kills the fish in like 2secs after it;s out the tank!

1) Forzen, how would you feel if somone put you in a freezer! Slow and takes about 4 mins!
2)Booze, Vodka, watch them drown! They gasp for what seems like ages!
3)Chop, quick, easy, painless!
Mabey im wrong, but i think this is the best way for the fish, if you can handle it, i would recommend the chop!

Clove oil may be used as an anesthetic for captive fish, overdoses can kill. Clove oil is available at heath food stores, or drug stores in the toothache remedies section. One to three drops per liter will have anesthetic effect within minutes - if the fish is not removed to untreated water it will be fatal over time, if removed to untreated water it will recover fully. If the fish is at all manageable in size, I anesthetize and then freeze.

When I have to euthanize a fish I drop it into ice water. It generally takes about five seconds to work.
