Neon tetra won't school

Freezing is not painless or quick. It just happens out of your sight so you don't have to feel guilty.
it is, because the CO2 acts as an anisthetic, and the fish just slowly goes towards the pearly gates, no horror. basically does the same thing as putting a land animal to sleep.

Funny enough, after I posted on this thread that i was gonna flush him. I found a sticky on another forum on euthinasia. I agree, flushing live fish is inhumane. I picked a method that was suggested by this sticky. I did a temp shock method and it seems to have worked quickly. I got a bowl of ice and filled it with water. I let it sit for 5 minutes to make sure it was freezing cold. He did one little twitch and it was over. I would say it was almost instant. In the future, I will do the clove oil method. I was just unprepared this time. Even though it was only a tetra, it was a somber day.

Thank you everyone. Roan Art your article was very helpful also. Roan, your advice is always been very helpful and not just on this thread. All your posts have been informative. Thank you for stomping out my ignorance.
