I had dalmation molly and neon

I had a dalmation molly and two neons in the same tank. I had a little salt in the beginning, this killed one of my neons, reduced the amount of salt to little - zero and it eventually killed my molly. I would suggest a different combination for water requirements and the fact that mollies are very greedy eaters (well mine was). Im just a newbie, but thats what i got from my experience.
 
No, I just had some in that situation and I had to remove the Dainos because of the stress imposed on the neons. If you have a large enough tank the neons should be fine as long as they are able to get away from the zebra's. The constant chasing was too much for my neons so I had to remove the zebras but then again I only had a 10g. In either case I will highly doubt they will school together.

Funny, I don't remember you either, but thank you for agreeing in principle with my point about neons. After the last(?) crash which wiped out the userlist for the third time, and like I said with the current mood of the board at the time (major troll infestations (think "stars wars"...) and overbearing moderation) I chose to go elsewhere and not re-register my old screen name...Apparently many of the old regulars made the same decision.

Oh well...No I am not a troll...LOL...The reality is that I am an admin on two other boards. Even there on my "home" boards I would take offense to attempts to "squash" oposing veiwpoints under the guise of authority which is what I feel happened here. If you go back and read the initial exchange you can plainly see two things; #1, I was not very detailed in my initial advice to the question, for which I apologize. #2 OG attempted to squash my advice as flat out wrong based on what I feel is internet hearsay...IE: 'around here we don't recommend salt for neons and thats just the way it's going to be'...I felt her response to be condescending and a bit rude...based on past experiences which I won't go into, I felt it may be personal. If it wasn't, then to OG I apologize. I will say no more on the subject...
 
Tommy why do you have to be so rude to Orion Girl right off the bat. I believe that is unnacceptable and that you should not have brought your personal issues into this discussion due to it becoming hijacked. I am not trying to be mean to you as i hardly know you and you are knowledgable, no doubt about that. But i feel that there was no need for personal attacks, maybe she was trying to show you up. But that would just be immiturity on her part and i doubt that she would just follow your posts around everywhere contadicting you. In other words keep this either to yourself, or complain to someone. :thud:
