Neons dead, why?

Same with me, Neons are $2 a piece every where I go and they are oh so fragile. If you want to keep trying the neons I would suggest going around the lfs and asking where their neons are from, they should all know that. I got a bad batch of neons and they almost all died, then I went over to my fav. lfs and asked about his neons. "They are Florida Bred" he said, "the healthiest neons I've ever seen"....and indeed they are, fat colorfull little guys. I haven't lost one yet. Look for Florida Bred Neons.

I had heard that they could be kind of wimpy fish. It's a shame because they add great color to the tank.

Does anyone know if Cardinals are as delicate?

Cardinals can be equally delicate at first. However once acclimated seem quite hardy. Ive had my schoal of 6 for over a year now

I am beginning to wonder if it is just hard to get a "good batch"!! I have had some of my neons for over a year with no problems, that was up until the last couple of weeks :mad2

it could be simply time for some to die. Sometimes there isnt a reason we can figure out, they just die. i have 4 left in mmy hospital tank.
