Neovespicula depressifrons or what http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2532 calls a dusky panther goby, will this fish do well in fresh water and would it do well with more mild african cichlids like peacocks??

I had one for a few days, but it died 3 days after i introduced him. Had him in a tank with a RTS and a couple pictus cats. Everyone in the tank pretty much kept to themselves. except the pictus cats which stuck together and bothered no one.
He Was a picky eater. carnivore. Im pretty sure you'd have to worry more abotu the chiclids than this one.

the LFS had him in fresh and i kept him in freshwater, but then again he died in my tank 3 days later. Still have live ones at the LFS though.
